The winner of the German Innovation Award 2018 developed an intelligent online meeting tool for customer-oriented dialogs, which is based on its proprietary screen sharing technology. Instead of sharing one’s own desktop screen, Demodesk creates a fully web-based virtual display, which makes it unique compared to other online meeting tools. Demodesk provides a virtual meeting room where websites, apps, slides or documents can be presented. This allows the user to switch between content, without having to show the entire screen, so embarrassing or sensitive information cannot be accidentally shared.
Unlike other video conferencing tools, Demodesk doesn’t need to be installed, as it is cloud-based and works with any browser and device. Since Demodesk is basically a regular website, so (corporate) firewalls won’t block access. Participants can simply join a meeting by clicking a link. Furthermore, all participants can interact with the content simultaneously. This instant collaboration makes Demodesk especially useful for onboarding or other customer support processes. In fact, the tool is specifically designed for customer-oriented meetings, like web demos. In the current coronavirus crisis, where in-person meetings are virtually impossible, Demodesk offers an easy-to-use, high-quality solution to drive sales and customer interaction nevertheless.
Companies like Personio and Treatwell already trust the Munich-based startup that managed to raise 2,10 mio dollars from VCs like Kleiner Perkins and Y Combinator.
